Tinashe is the senior banks analyst examining banking sector performance including earnings models, forecasts and monthly reports on key issues arising in the sector. This also includes innovative research on non-financial drivers of bank performance as well as input into financial sector policy development.
He is a top-rated analyst with extensive experience in institutional research, having covered the construction & building materials and food producers sectors, and was regularly rated in the Financial Mail’s Ranking the Analyst Awards. He is also an economics researcher, with articles published in the South African Institute of Financial Markets, the Economic Research Southern Africa and the African Finance Journal.
He has previously worked as an equity analyst at Afrifocus Securities and Merchantec Capital. He studied at Rhodes University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Economics Honours and Masters in Financial Markets and completed seven of the required SAIFM exams.
Tinashe is a member of the Institute of Bankers in South Africa (IOBSA), the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM) and Investment Analysts Society of South Africa (IASSA).
